For High School: Beyond Academics; Preparing to Go to College with ASD
Research shows that intelligence alone is not enough for most students with ASD to succeed in college. Is your child ready? How are their social skills? Do you have to wake them up in the morning? Can they advocate for themselves? Have they taken ownership of their education? What about independent living skills, problem solving, self-advocacy and executive functioning? By the time a student is a junior in high school, they may know how to succeed academically, but a successful life on a college campus requires so much more. In this seminar, you will become aware of many of the challenges and how to help your child begin the journey to success in college.
