Pathways to Employment

Though a large number of adults with autism are unemployed or underemployed, many are willing and able to work and do more. Businesses in the National Capital Area recognize the strengths, and skills that autistic job seekers can bring to the workplace. Join us for a panel discussion with local experts, who will share information about resources and services for adults with autism and their families.

The event will:

• Bring awareness and education about autism into the workplace
• Educate about employing and hiring individuals with autism, providing an inclusive infrastructure, and how businesses have realized the benefits of inclusive hiring.
• Offer job sources to autistic job seekers, students and employees, their caregivers, families, and other support people.

Autistic adults, families, transition-age students, adult service providers, vocational-rehabilitation providers, and others interested in autism and employment.
