Chesterfield County, as part of the Building Bridges federal grant project, is examining the most effective, evidence-based treatments available to address the opioid epidemic. This training seminar is an opportunity for participants to learn the science behind addiction in an easy to understand format, and review the most effective, approved treatments available to address Opioid Use Disorder. The primary focus will be on Medication Assisted Treatment and the three
medications approved for use for Opioid Use Disorders. There will be opportunities to interact with the presenter to include a Question and Answer segment.
Featured Speaker—Scott Haga
Scott Haga is a Senior Consultant with Health Management Associates – a leading, independent research and consulting firm in the healthcare industry. Mr. Haga is recognized as a subject matter expert in addiction and medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders. He is an experienced medical provider who has extensive experience providing addiction medicine services. He has assisted jails and state prisons to implement MAT in their facilities.; and, he has worked with treatment courts to provide evidenced based interventions to reduce incarceration and recidivism.
