The ACEing Autism RVA program is flexible and can be modified based on each child’s skill level and favorite activities. The primary focus on court is to emphasize social skills, self-confidence, improved motor skills and physical fitness. The clinics benefit children on the autism spectrum and their peers in various ways. Each 50-minute session will include a warm up, running and jumping exercises, basic hand-eye coordination skills, groundstrokes, volleys, an obstacle course and group games. Students will be paired with 1-2 volunteers based on his/her needs.
Cost for the entire 6-week program is $75, and registration is open now. Spaces are limited, so interested participants are encouraged to sign up in advance via the link below. The entire RVA tennis community is invited to come out and support this effort. Don’t let the cost be a barrier – scholarships are available!
