Q: What training has prepared you to work with young children with autism and/or other developmental disabilities?
A: Getting my degree in Psychology, as well as being with my younger brother who has autism.
Q: What brings you joy during the work day? When you’re not working?
A: Working with the kids and watching them learn new things brings me joy during the work day. It’s so much fun getting to know them all. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, photography, and going to concerts.
Q: Why do you enjoy working at CA?
A: I enjoy working at CA because I like working as a team with my coworkers. I like being able to collaborate with, and learn from, the BCBAs as well.
Q: What do children in the program experience each day?
A: I’d say the children experience a fun and welcoming environment every day. They are learning while also having fun with us as their teachers, and with their peers.
Q: What is your hope for the children in the program? What excites you about their future?
A: My hope is that they come through the program and gain the foundation for a bright and independent future. I get to see their progress first hand every day and it’s amazing to watch. They all have their own unique personalities that I’m excited for them to express to everyone in their future.
Q: What do you want prospective families to know?
A: I want prospective families to know that the staff at CA work very hard to help give every child what they need to progress to a future of happiness and independence.
