Eligibility
An eligible student must be a high school graduate of a public or private high school in the City of Richmond or the counties of Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield or Goochland.
An eligible student must have a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum, verified by an Individualized Education Plan, a 504 Plan or confirmation from a special education teacher.
An eligible student must demonstrate scholastic commitment and academic promise.
An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year community college, college or university in the United States.
Selection Criteria
There is no minimum required grade point average for this scholarship. Scholastic commitment and academic promise will be evaluated based on regular attendance and transcripts. Students’ GPA will be considered only as it relates to requirement for college entry.
Verification of Autism diagnosis via guidance counselor or faculty recommendation.
