This course builds of the functions of behavior and looks at how behavior is decreased. This looks and what consequence interventions are vs antecedent based interventions, as well as it helps define the terms extinction and punishment in relation to lowering behavior. It also touches on what tolerance is and how to implement it as a means to lower behavior. We will also explore how to implement these and their uses in an applied setting.

Chris Allen, MS, BCBA, LBA is the Behavior Analyst at CA’s Children’s Programs. He completed his master’s in ABA at Antioch University in New England. He has worked as a teacher for students with both autism and emotional disabilities as well as has experience as a behavioral counselor in both home and residential settings.
